Safety First

A couple cocktails as I cook is safe, except when the recipe calls for me to drive or operate heavy machinery, like when I make tractor spaghetti, even though the meatball pile is just out back and the oregano can be harvested with one brief pass of a chainsaw, and you know I've been feeding the tomatoes Miracle Gro since February, intravenously. Abstention is a fair price to pay for getting to use my ceramic-lined superheated swimming pool.

I am going to use all of these ideas and claim them as my own, right down to tractor spaghetti.

sybil - Hot tub pool!

Rassles - The ideas are free. The complications they create are the price.

I've been digging in the comments for that grilled cheese/tomato soup/decadence recipe that you told me about, something about a rabbit maybe, but I can't find it. Please resubmit.

The Golden Rabbit

You will need:

1. 1 can tomato soup
2. 1 can campbell's cheese chowder
3. 2 slices of bread (I like sourdough, but white bread, texas toast, and brioche work as well)
4. 1-2 slices of your cheese of choice. I'm a big fan of cheddar and asiago.
5. butter
6. water

cook tomato soup and cheese soup as instructed on the can. Mix together.

create grilled cheese how you see fit: butter one side of each slice of bread, place cheese slices in between the two pieces on the sides w/o butter, grill as needed.

Let the sandwich cool for a few minutes. chop into 1x1 inch squares.

Put squares in a bowl. Pour 1/2 of the soup concoction over it. Enjoy.

Save remaining soup for dinner the next day.

It's also delicious with just tomato soup, because this is like processed cheese overload, but I like to feel like I'm bathed in rich, fatty love, so you know. I win.

Yes, this is something that can be used and adapted to a variety of situations.

As I experienced it tonight, it was like soup with dumplings that were more delicious than any dumplings that could be made. I feel satisfied and not ashamed at all.

Be forewarned, though, I plan to make "El Conejo Dorado," where the grilled cheese sandwich is replaced by a quesadilla and the tomato soup is replaced by tomato salsa.
